Thanks to ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast, the Las Vegas Raiders had to deal with some drama surrounding Tom Brady.
Just before kickoff on Sunday, the Raiders got some bad news on the Meyers front, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. "Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers is inactive today vs. the Chiefs," Schefter wrote on X. Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers is inactive today vs. the Chiefs.
Raiders head coach Pete Carroll was at a loss for words after a disastrous loss to the Chiefs in Week 7, falling to 2-5.
The Raiders, already without top pass catchers Jakobi Meyers (knee/toe) and Brock Bowers (knee), lose defensive end Maxx Crosby (knee/back) and defensive tackle Adam Butler (back) to injuries against the Chiefs.
It appears that the Raiders will only be able to make their final decision on Meyers close to kickoff. Should he end up sitting out his first game of the season, players such as Tre Tucker, Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton Jr. could see bigger roles against Kansas City.
The Raiders will trade Jakobi Meyers only for strong value as the Nov. 4 deadline looms. Interest is real, but Las Vegas isn’t rushing.

Raiders Could Keep WR Jakobi Meyers Amid Trade Request
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Raiders could opt to keep veteran WR Jakobi Meyers on the team despite his public request for a trade. Schefter adds that the Raiders are not willing to trade Meyers unless they get a valuable offer in return,
Meyers would improve multiple offenses across the league, and there is still over a week before the Nov. 4 deadline. But the Raiders aren't exactly looking to automatically trade Meyers, according to sources, and are willing to carry him on their roster until his contract expires after this season.
